How to use a copywriting framework

A framework is a structural template - not a script. It gives your copy a proven psychological architecture (state the problem → make it hurt → offer the solution) without dictating the words. The goal is to fill it with specifics: your exact customer pain, your precise result, your actual offer.

The most common mistake is treating frameworks as a shortcut to avoid thinking. A PAS formula still needs a real insight about what actually frustrates your customer. A social proof hook still needs a real number. The framework is the skeleton; your market knowledge is the flesh.

Start by matching the framework to your funnel stage. Hooks and pattern-interrupt headlines work best at the top of funnel where you're competing for attention. Social proof, objection crushing, and risk-reversal copy works best at the bottom of funnel where the reader is close to buying but hesitant. Retargeting audiences respond differently than cold audiences - they've seen your brand before, so skip the awareness-building and get to the offer.

Test one framework at a time against your control. Run each variation with enough budget to reach statistical significance - don't kill a framework after 48 hours and $50 of spend. The frameworks in this library are proven to work in aggregate; which one works for your specific offer and audience is something only your data can answer.
